This is a stunning NA Zuni Bobby & Corraine Shack of New Mexico made sterling & multi gem inlay thunderbird bolo tie! These are very sought after and hard to find. The gentleman has passed. His wife is still alive and the family has been making beautiful Zuni jewelry for many years.
It measures 2 1/2” x 2 1/2”! Even the tips are sterling silver in decorated beautifully!
The braided leather tie is original and has a little bend at the top from it being stored in a box, more than likely. It’s about 18 inches on each side so a total of 36 inches.!
This is a highly sought after maker and the work is meticulous and outstanding! The mother of Pearl, halfway down on the left wing has a little tiny spot in the photos I just wiped it off! The top right hand mother of pearl section may be missing a tiny little bit of filler in one of the holes! Otherwise it’s in very good to excellent condition.
