I consider the Los Ballesteros the foremost Taxco workshop in the creation of hinged bangle bracelets within the context of Mexico’s 20th c. Silver Renaissance. This is not to say that other maestros, some among the very famous, others “less celebrated”, did not contribute great examples to the genre. Condition: excellent vintage with a slick, mod design, its oxidation in great shape, nice patina and attractive presence; no damage and no repairs noted except for the expected occasional tiny, little nick at the upper and lower edges that bear witness to the bracelet’s long, happy life - not offensive and not detracting from the piece’s paired-down beauty
