This vintage C. T. Art-Colortone divided-back postcard shows the Palisades in Cimarron Canyon, New Mexico. Tall reddish rock formations rise above evergreen forest, a creek, and the curving roadway identified on the reverse as Highway 64 from Raton to Taos. Distributed by Southwest Post Card Co. of Albuquerque and produced as a Genuine Curteich-Chicago Art-Colortone card, it is numbered 71 and 7A-H2186. The one-cent stamp box and format support an approximate 1930s era. This unused view may interest collectors of Cimarron Canyon, U.S. Highway 64, New Mexico geology, road travel, and western scenery. Visible condition includes light corner and edge wear, toning, spotting, and minor surface marks. Please review all photographs.
