This beautiful match safe measures 2-3/4 x 1-1/2" and features a lovely raised Western scene on one side and a filigree encircled, celluloid covered advertising card for Morris Mohr's Cafe. Morris was born in Bavaria and came to the US in 1875, learning the restaurant business in New York City and moving to Cincinnati in 1899. For many years he operated his cafe at 513 Walnut St. just south of what was Keith's Theater and opposite of the then Post Office. He retired in 1916 and died in 1940.
