The Theodore Roosevelt was a steel passenger steamship built in Toledo, Ohio, and launched in 1906 for the Indiana Transportation Company. It became a prominent Lake Michigan excursion vessel carrying passengers between Chicago and Michigan City, Indiana. During World War I, the ship was taken over by the U.S. government for military service before later returning to commercial operation on the Great Lakes.
