It was cleaned, lubricated and aligned forpeak performance which makes it play like new. Each of the 8 transistors were checked for leakage. It was made after the 500D and has a convex speaker for better sound. Itpicks up a tremendous amount of stations. As you can see the case is in great shape fora 500 E1. It has no cracks or missingpieces. The battery box is clean and ittakes 4 AA batteries for a total or 6 volts. This is included with the radio so it plays at your doorstep.
