Instead of grinding the entire face flat, the individual botryoidal formations have been selectively exposed and polished, leaving the original matrix between them and giving the piece a much more sculptural, three-dimensional look.Each polished section reveals its own pattern, from tight concentric bull’s-eyes to doubled and clustered formations, with deep forest green, black-green, and bright emerald banding throughout. The largest eyes have especially sharp, dense rings, while several of the smaller formations create some really unusual shapes and patterns.
