Decent Reader+ copies of X-Men 27 & 28
X-Men 27: first meeting w/Spider-Man, Mimic makes appearance to battle Puppet Master (whew!)
I have a difficult time describing the condition...corners are decent, plenty of reading wear along edges but no major tears, book is complete, staples holding well, definitely some discoloration with age.
But...it\'s crooked. See the photos...I researched CGC Grading Notes and could not find a term to describe that the front and back covers don\'t quite line up, and the rest of the pages follow suit.(if anyone can help, message me!)A press may alleviate this, but I\'d avoid calling it any higher than 4.0.
X-Men 28: first Banshee appearance
This book shows decently, possibly a 2.5-3.0 with wear on the front cover and a series of tears along the back cover.
However, previous owner discovered the bottom staple loose and applied an inappropriate amount of tape to both inside covers, the centerfold, and the page before the centerfold.The top staple is doing its job, and it would take an Army to dislodge the bottom half of the book at this point.So...probably a 1.5-2.0 at best, but a great filler as it has been in my collection.
My condition guesses are just that: I am not a professional, please study the photos carefully before purchasing. I cannot accurately state the whiteness grade of interior pages, besides these are old books showing a fair bit of oxidation.
