World's Finest Comics #163 1966 CGC Graded 6.0 Just Graded-New Holder
This is #17 of the last 20 comics I had graded by CGC this year. I will be listing all 20 this week for my final comic book sale.
In 1986 I was a baseball card dealer and during one of the card shows a guy wanted to trade me his comic collection for some baseball rookie cards I was selling. I said I was interested so he came back with a comic storage box with 80 Silver Age comics from 1957 to 1969 which is in the time frame I read comics as a kid, specifically 1958 to 1964. All the books were in heavy mylar sleeves and I could tell the comics were in nice condition and he took care of them! We made the deal and I brought home 80 comics. I was not a comic collector but I looked at each book and remembered so many of the classic covers. After I spent time looking through them I put them back in the storage box and put the box on a shelf in my storage room. Those comics sat on that shelf for 40 years. In January I started to clean out my storage room and there was the box of comics. I went through them carefully and wassurprised at the overall excellent condition they were in. After going on and doing online research I tried grading each comic book. In the end I decided to send them to CGC for grading.
