Wonderful Rare Mortality Plate Of Jurassic Dinosaur Age Fish Fossils Semionotus For Sale

This listing is something you really don’t see often, an amazing mortality plate of three partial beautifully preserved Semionotus from the Jurassic Shuttle Meadow Formation of Connecticut! This slab comes from an old collection and was collected long ago at a classic site that is no longer accessible! Like most Newark Supergroup fish, these were found fractured, carefully reassembled and dug out. The specimens are furthermore coated with a clear protective agent to prevent any deterioration. There is also some epoxy on the reverse side of the slab further stabilizing the piece. The fish naturally have some great black and shiny bone preservation with even some hint of pyrite preservation which is something not typically seen in these fish!
