Wonderful Antique Tiffany Studios Lamp Base Part from Double Student For Sale

This is a wonderful looking, very early, highly designed, lamp base from Tiffany Studios. I believe it is the main center part to what used to be a double student (see last picture for an example). At this point restoring it to that kind of base would probably not be feasible, but just imagine what this would look like if you put a cluster and riser on it and made it into a lamp base for a leaded shade! I would think it would look absolutely fabulous with a 16" acorn or geometric. If you make shades and want an original Tiffany Studios lamp base, expect to pay $4000 or more for a simple colonial or stick base.....and even good copies are probably now around $2000 or more...and that's without the quality or authentic look of an original. This is your chance to get an 100% original one and make it into something fantastic.
In terms of size, this base stands 17 1/2" tall and the bottom is 6 3/8" in diameter. It is marked with the number 80 on the cast iron insert in the bottom and 20711 on the bronze collar as shown. It is NOT SIGNED in any other manner. This is 100% fine as none of these really early double students were signed, and it is 100% guaranteed to be an early Tiffany Studios lamp base. Once you see it in person you will have no doubt of that.
So there it is. Ask questions if you have them....I'll be glad to answer.
