A stealth bomber containing Wolverine, Elsie-Dee, and Albert has been shot down by the military and has crashed into New York Harbor. Forge and Jubilee dive into the water to try and rescue Logan but find that the inside of the downed craft only contains the seemingly deactivated body of Albert. Needing to come up for air, they surface just as a storm begins to hit the city. Picked up by the Coast Guard, they are forced to return to shore due to the storm, Jubilee worried that Logan might be out there somewhere drowning.Logan is far from dead, as Elsie-Dee has dragged his unconscious body to the underground tunnels that comprise New York City's storm drain system. Pulling him up to the South Street Outlet, Elsie-Dee decides to leave the unconscious Logan where he is in order to get some help. After she leaves, Logan awakens and begins having a waking dream of some of his past memories. He recalls how many years ago, on his birthday, he would come home to find his lover Silver Fox murdered - murdered by a man called Sabretooth, a man whom he recalls has some sort of close relationship with him.As Elsie-Dee travels through the sewers, talking about her situation she passes the unconscious body of Sabretooth.[1] Hearing Elsie-Dee talk about someone with claws, Sabretooth wakes up and realizes that she is talking about his old foe Wolverine. Wolverine, meanwhile, continues to have his waking dream about finding the dead body of Silver Fox. He recalls how angry he was at her death and how he went out seeking her killer. As Logan relives this and charges through the tunnels, he has no idea how real his situation will still be.
