Wiring A Continent History of Telegraph Industry 1832-1866 Hardcover Vintage For Sale

This 1947 book by Robert Luther Thompson, "Wiring A Continent" is in real nice condition. It talks about the History of the Telegraph Industry in the United States from 1832 to 1866. it is a hardback book with 544 pages. The book is yellowed some from age, but is still tight at the bi ding, and has the dust jacket on it still. It is a book with 4 books inside and describes the origin and history of the telegraph throughout the nation, and how it was developed, and grown over the time span of 30 plus years. This is the only one of these I have ever seen, and I'm guess it's pretty hard to find. I think for the telegraph history buff, this would be a must for your collection.
