This is a 40-piece Willabee & Ward Lighthouse Pin Collection from the 1990s. Each intricately designed brass-tone enamel pin features a different historic American lighthouse, including such popular ones as Point Bonita, Cape May, and Old Point Loma.
The set is housed in its original cherry-finish wooden collector's chest with a black velvet-lined display and a lower drawer for storage.
The pins are in excellent condition with vibrant colors and secure backings. They can be worn on a lapel as well.
Included is the original deck of educational statistics cards providing the history and technical details for each lighthouse.
I have 40 cards, but that includes an instruction card so I think it is missing one card. However, the “missing” card may be stuck under the drawer in the box because the cards tend to fall into there.
The wooden chest shows minor vintage wear consistent with age and has a small chip on the bottom that does not distract from the beauty. Please see photos.
Overall it is a substantial, sturdy and attractive display weighing in at nearly 6 pounds. I am shipping it with plastic wrap over the pin so they don’t fall out when you open it up.
