This Antique Wedgwood Jasperware Mug / Flat Cup is decorated with finely detailed white Neoclassical sprig relief scenes depicting classical maidens, sacrificial altar motifs, attendants, and Greco-Roman ceremonial figures in the traditional Wedgwood style. The richly applied white relief decoration contrasts beautifully against the dark blue matte jasperware body.
The relief decoration reflects the Neoclassical artistic movement popular during the late 18th and 19th centuries and was inspired by ancient Greek and Roman mythology, ceremonial scenes, and classical sculpture.
The mug features a smooth, rounded rolled rim, tapered body form, applied loop handle, and continuous wraparound classical figural decoration in the highly collectible late Victorian Wedgwood Neoclassical style.

HISTORY & PROVENANCE
This Wedgwood Jasperware Mug / Flat Cup was formerly part of the collection of MOHAI — the Museum of History & Industry. The underside retains museum accession inventory number “80.7121.74”.
The “80” accession prefix likely indicates the mug entered the museum collection in 1980, meaning it remained in the museum collection for approximately 46 years before being recently deaccessioned to make room for other items in the collection.
Museum provenance of this type adds historical interest, authenticity, and collector desirability to the mug. This Mug measures 2 7/8\" High x 3\" wide x 2 3/8\" tapered down Base. I have provided a lot of pictures to best describe the condition of this Antique Mug.
