Warren Telechron 4F55 Onyx Marble “Red Dot” Mid-Century Modern (MCM) Desk Shelf Electric Clock, Running Well

Classic vintage look and good running Mid-Century Modern electric clock.

Warren Telechron Co., Ashland, Mass., Model 4F55 “RedDot” electric clock for mantel, table or shelf. Light color onyx or marble housing for the original Telechron H3 3.6 rpm 2 watt clock motor. Made in the U.S.A.

The dial is approx. 3-1/2” diameter in a darkish yellow color with the “Telechron” name in block letters below the red dot port and covered by a convex glass. The gold hands (hour, minute and sweep second) compliment both the dial and the copper colored chapter ring with roman numerals.

Dimensions: approx. 5-1/4 squareby approx. 2-3/4” deep (front to back) including the support leg and winding stem. The onyx or marble housing is approx. ½” thick.

Weight: 2 lb. 1 oz. (not packaged for shipping)

Condition: the clock is running smoothly, quietly and keeping accurate time.The electric cord appears to be original to the clock and in good condition. The onyx or marble housing is very good with one small shallow chip in the upper right corner. The time setting mechanism works as it should. The clock has a nice “vintage patina” which includes scattered light edge and surface wear to the copper tone chapter ring and the yellowed dial. The convex glass is good with no visible chips around the edge. The overall cosmetic condition is judged as good to very good for its age with vintage patina.
