Up for sale is an authentic, vintage WWII-era U.S. Military Life Raft Survival Floating Knife. These unique knives were issued to the US Navy (USN) and Army Air Forces (USAAF) as emergency gear in survival dinghies and aviator life rafts.
Item Details:
• Handle: Original bright yellow painted finish (designed for high visibility and buoyancy if dropped in water). Shows some light, honest wear and paint chips consistent with age.
• Blade: Curved safety blade style with original circular perforations, designed to cut thick ropes or parachute cords quickly without accidentally puncturing inflatable life rafts.
• Markings: [State if you can see any stamps, e.g., "Blade is unstamped" OR "Stamped Western on the tang"]
• Condition: Used vintage condition with great historical character. Please review all photos carefully to judge the exact condition of the wood handle, paint, and blade steel.
A fantastic, affordable addition to any World War II militaria, aviation gear, or vintage knife collection!
