Original WWII-era U.S. M1 helmet featuring a front-seam, swivel-bale steel shell with what appears to be its original olive drab paint. The shell retains a very nice amount of original finish and displays well, with expected scratches, paint loss, and wear from age.Includes an MSA (Mine Safety Appliances) liner. The liner retains most of its original suspension/webbing and shows honest age and use. Please note that the leather liner chinstrap, nape band, and headband are missing. At some point, the headband appears to have been riveted/attached directly into the liner; remnants of this modification are visible and should be considered part of the helmet’s condition/history.The steel shell retains its chinstrap hardware/webbing as pictured. There is noticeable paint loss/wear on the crown as well as around the rim, but overall the shell presents very nicely with an attractive aged finish.Features:* WWII U.S. M1 steel helmet
