Unique historical scrapbook belonging to Alfred Thomas Cox, a Second Lieutenant in the U.S. Army. The collection includes his original 1940 commission document signed by the Adjutant General, a Phi Beta Kappa certificate from Lehigh University, and a series of rare photographs documenting paratrooper training. The photos show Harness Instruction, Pre-Jump Hardening, Exit Instruction from a C-47 mockup, and live jumps, likely in the China-Burma-India theater based on civilian attire and Japanese text on the album label. The album shows minor age-related wear and page yellowing, but the contents remain clear and historically significant. Estimated value reflects the rarity of named WWII paratrooper training photos and official military documents.
