WWII German P08 Luger Leather Holster 1941 Dated Modified for US GI Web Belt For Sale

Offered for sale is an original WWII-era German leather holster for the P08 Luger pistol, dated 1941.

This holster features an interesting modification to the rear belt attachment, allowing it to be carried on a U.S. military web belt rather than using the original German-style belt loops. The holster was included in a WW2 veteran’s estate and had a P08 in it, but it sold and the holster was misplaced.

Condition:

This holster is in well-used vintage condition, showing significant age and wear consistent with its approximately 85-year history. Appears leather at the muzzle had been repaired in the past.

The leather exhibits surface scuffing, finish wear, creasing, and areas of cracking, particularly toward the lower tip. Stitching shows age and wear, with some loose or missing stitches and evidence of alterations. Please examine all photographs carefully.

The rear belt attachment has been modified from its original configuration to accommodate a U.S. GI-style web belt. The exact date and circumstances of this modification are unknown.

The holster retains considerable historical character and would make an interesting addition to a WWII militaria collection, P08 Luger display, or collection of modified military equipment.
