This is an authentic, original WWII German Feldpost letter set dated September 25, 1941, written by soldier Albert Deissler to his family in Heidelberg, Germany.Full Translation:
O.U. [In the Field], September 25, 1941My dear Parents, Willy, Magda, and Children!First of all, my dear parents, thank you for the parcel. Everything tasted great and arrived just at the right time. I am sorry that I haven't answered your letter yet, and you must forgive me for this. In my thoughts I am always at home with you, but I have a lot of work, sometimes until 10:00 PM, and then I'm just glad if I can at least write to Käte and Bubi. But I always send greetings to you parents through Käte, and I hope she passes them on.As Käte writes to me, you dear parents are still doing well, which I can also report about myself. One can indeed be glad to be allowed and able to be here; in these times so many give their lives for Germany, so one must be content with one's lot. At the moment we have very nice weather.
