Up for sale is an authentic World War II German Army Officer's parade/dress saber, complete with its original black painted steel scabbard.
Key Details & Features:
• Hilt & Guard: Gilded brass stirrup-style guard featuring detailed oak leaf engraving and the Army eagle on the obverse shield. (Note: Photos displaying historical symbols have been digitally censored in images per marketplace guidelines. The piece itself is untouched).
• Custom Monogram: Features a period custom-engraved "TG" monogram cipher on the reverse shield (langet), indicating custom officer ownership.
• Grip: Ribbed black grip completely intact with original wire wrap firmly in place.
• Blade: Single-edged curved fullered steel blade, Solingen maker marked beneath the langet. Measures bright overall with area-specific nickel plating flaking/peeling near the ricasso/base as shown in detailed photos.
• Scabbard: Original magnetic steel scabbard with single suspension ring, retaining much of its original dark finish with minor light surface age wear.
• Condition: Untouched historical condition. Excellent gilding remains on the hilt. The blade shows expected age-related plating loss near the top, but no edge nicks. Never cleaned, polished, or altered.
