WWII 1945 Philippines Hand-Carved Bolo Knife w/ Original Leather Sheath For Sale

Very unique WWII-era Philippine bolo/souvenir knife dated 1945 directly on the blade.Features a long steel blade marked “PHILIPPINES 1945,” beautifully hand-carved dark wood handle, brass guard and the original tooled leather sheath. The carved handle has an especially detailed geometric and sculptural design.These Philippine-made knives were commonly purchased or brought home as souvenirs by American servicemen stationed in the Philippines around the end of WWII. This is an especially attractive surviving example with the 1945 blade marking still clearly visible.Shows age, patina and normal wear consistent with an approximately 80-year-old piece. I have not polished or restored it.
