Original 1945 military leather holster with extensive authentic age-related wear, scratches, creasing, color variation, darkening, and natural patina. The front is very dark brown, while the reverse has warmer reddish-brown tones. Green verdigris is present on the brass hardware. Stitching, belt hooks, flap, and closure are present. Please review all photos carefully.
Original U.S. M1916 leather holster manufactured by BOYT in 1945 during the final year of World War II.
This authentic military holster was designed for the Colt M1911 and M1911A1. It features a faint embossed “U.S.” marking on the front and a visible “BOYT –45–” maker and date stamp on the reverse.
The leather has developed a beautiful natural patina over more than 80 years. The front is a deep, nearly black chocolate brown, while the reverse retains warmer reddish-brown and cognac tones. The aged brass hardware displays attractive turquoise-green verdigris.
The holster shows extensive scratches, creasing, surface marks, darkening, color variation, and general wear consistent with its age and history. These characteristics have not been removed or artificially restored.
