Item appears to be M-1917 or M-1917A1 Brodie/ Doughboystyle helmet.
Used. Rough condition Liner frame is present but sweatband missing. Chin straps present but somewhat frayed. Tan in color. Fastening clips function.
Helmet is stamped with what appears to be "2 B". Based on some very hasty internet research, "2B" may indicate:
(1B – 25B)Late 1940 – Early 1941Earliest McCord factory-produced M1917A1 shells.
This could be incorrect. I can't guarantee the accuracy of that information.
