You are offerding on a lot of 6-1 3/8 inch used WWI Navy Peacoat buttons. All MAY have been used BUT STILL GOOD STRONG BUTTONS.-NO CHIPS OR CRACKS. All have 4 sew through holes to sew on to garment. .Theseare for the front of the Navy pea coats OR ANYGARMENT THAT NEEDS THESE SIZE BUTTONS . These were made in the USA for the Military with this design of rope and anchor with the 13 stars around the edge since about 1914 When they were used in WWI. 2 OF THE LARGE SIZE are marked \"AIB\" AND 1 OF THE SMALLER SIZE BUTTONS is MARKED ON THE BACK \"HP AHR CO\". WHICH TELLS US THEY WERE MADE BY THE \"AMERICAN HARD RUBBER COMPANY\"

2WWI METAL NAVY CHORE COAT 7/8\" BUTTONS-WITH WIRE SHANK ON BACK-BOTH VERY GOOD

ALSO 15 PANT AND SHIRT BUTTONS BELIEVED TO BE EARLY ISSUES BECAUSE THEY DO NOT HAVE A RAISED SHANK ON BACK LIKE THE ONES ISSUED TODAY . Button sown on the front of pants as zippers had not been invented yet during the WWI.I have never had any of the button pants but found a picture of a pair so you could see what they looked like. Most of the WWI pants button had 4 holes to sew them on but were not raised on the back like the shirt buttons used by WWII.
