WW2 Imperial Japanese Army - MODEL 1934 FIELD CANTEEN - NAMED - VERY NICE For Sale

You are offerding on a VERY NICE example of a veteran acquired WW2 Imperial Japanese Army EM/NCO Canteen and Carrier!The JapaneseArmy Canteen differed from theNavy version, as it featured a painted body and wood/cork stopper (Navy version featured an unpainted aluminum body and aluminum cap). Officers and enlisted men carried the same type.Kanji numbers and names are sometimes found written on the outer canvas covers.Issued to troops of the Imperial Japanese Army,this canteen is in VERY NICE condition for its age.Though it features some slight wear and marks,there is no major corrosion or damage! No damage to the carrier straps, however the leather is dry and broken in places (see photos).The markings on the cross straps are a bit faint, but they carry the name (Kanji characters) of the soldier who used it. Also features a prominent manufacture ink stamp on the bottom. Would make a PERFECT addition to any collection or display!
