WW2 Era M-1928 Haversack With Meat Can Pouch..
This pack is dated 1941, it's got a couple repairs made to it, but they seem to make it stronger than ever before. I have several of these originals like this in my collection and have tested a couple examples out and they seem to be treated w something that makes them impressively very water proof/resistant for canvas. Much more than other military field equipment produced later on.
The M1928's are comfortable and can attach fully to the cartridge belt or pistol belt, or wear it as a backpack. These are versatile and are designed for combat, so they can carry extra long items if need be, or be used to carry lunch. The pack is adaptable to an array of items soldiers might need to pack into the field. The meat can pouch (Included) has three slots for a fork knife and spoon (Not included) and it's main compartment for the USGI mess kit (Not included).
It's kind of funny how history repeats itself, I just saw a modern "gucci" tacticool pack made for a plate carrier that seemed to sort of copy the M1928, and the idea was soldiers fighting in Ukraine need to be able to carry long items into the field, but also have the mobility of a small pack...
