WW2 1945 German Psyop Propaganda Leaflet
A rare, striking original German military psychological-warfare propaganda leaflet targeting Allied troops fighting in Italy in February 1945. Featuring the memorable “Gentlemen prefer Blondes — but Blondes don’t like Cripples” design, it used glamour, fear of serious injury and anxiety about life after the war to undermine Allied morale.
The leaflet was created by Sonderunternehmen Südstern (Special Enterprise Southern Star), a specialized military propaganda section under the broader Skorpion Süd (Skorpion South) organization. This unit was attached directly to the German 10th Army and operated primarily within the Italian theatrebetween 1943 and 1945.
An unusually graphic and highly displayable example of German propaganda, coded ★1309-2-45.
Condition
Fragile original wartime leaflet with clear evidence of handling and use, including edge wear, surface rubbing, creasing and folds. Please study the scans carefully as they form part of the description.
