Thisvintagecirca 1897 - 1902RED (over key) MASON\'S PATENT NOV. 30TH 1858 (Red Book #2476) shoulder-sealblue quart fruit/canning jar is in good condition with strong embossing and whittle.One side of the jar is embossed with the wordsRED (over key) MASON\'S PATENT NOV. 30TH 1858. The Roman number mold XXIXisembossed on the base.Including the zinc cap, the canning jar isapproximately7 1/4\" tall. As expected with vintage canning jars, there are manufacturing flaws including closed bubbles and whittle in the glass. There are shallow sliver chips on the inside of the neck located above the word KEY and shown in photos #10-12. The sliver chips are covered completely by the zinc cap.The jar shows wear consistent with its age and purpose including expected ground lip wear and surface scratches.Please look at the photos carefully.
