Beautiful and unusual matched set of five vintage West German jumbo blown-glass Christmas ornaments, each measuring approximately 8 inches long.
These dramatic elongated icicle/drop ornaments feature vivid bands of emerald green, red, gold/yellow and cobalt blue contrasted with brilliant silver. The bodies have striking molded and indented silver sections that create an almost twisted or ribbon-like appearance.
The metal caps are marked West Germany, dating the ornaments to the period when that country designation was in use.

CONDITION:
Very good vintage display condition overall. The colors remain exceptionally vibrant and the silvered portions retain strong reflectivity. There is age-related wear including scattered scratches, spotting, oxidation and areas of paint/finish loss. One ornament has a more noticeable area of loss to the red finish. The vintage storage box has age, discoloration and storage wear.
