Vintage cast metal woodpecker on log toothpick holder dispenser.
This is neat little true vintage dispenser showing signs of age and previous use. ( I THINK THE LITTLE POINTED PIN AT THE WOODPECKER BEAK MAY OF HAD A LITTLE REPAIR AT SOME POINT. IT LOOKS LIKE A BIT OF OF EPOXY WAS APPLIED AT SOME POINT AND THE PIN IS NOT SET PERFECTLY CENTERED AS I SUSPECT IT ORIGINALLY WAS. THE PIN IS ALSO SLIGHTLY BLUNT FROM USE INSTEAD OF PERFECTLY POINTED. I TRIED TO SHOW THIS IN CLOSE UP PHOTO)
I did fill this up with toothpicks to test function. While it did stick and lift out a toothpick a couple times for me, the majority of the time when I would push the woodpecker down it would push the toothpicks around, but not stick one and lift it out. I assume it is because the pin is a little blunt like earlier mentioned.
Even with the above mentioned flaws and wear, this is certainly still a neat true vintage piece that should display well in someone's collection. You will receive exactly what is pictured. Thank you!
