Vtg USN Silver Plate Tray 24\" Long WWI Wilcox Silver Plate Co. O14O5 Navy Vessel For Sale

This a circa WWI fish or salmon tray from an officers\' mess aboard a US Navy vessel. The two stars appearing to one side of the tray would indicate that it came from the table of a Rear Admiral. It was produced by the Wilcox Silver Plate Company, between 1898 and 1920. Since it is stamped with the USN insignia, it was officially contracted by the federal government for deployment aboard a US Navy vessel. It has only a small area of wear to the plating just above the hallmark and minor age and use scratches. It is very long (24 inches x 10 inches) and still beautiful enough to grace any table.
