Vintage Table Lamp JAPANESE CAST BRONZE GINGER JAR URN Exquisite Crane Birds/Flowers

STUNNING lamp- an extremely high-end HAND CAST genuine bronze with fantastic detailing

Size 27.5\" high from base to top of finial

Body of lamp is 17.7\" tall from neck at socket to base

30.5\" circumference around center

Base is a round, carved wood 5- toed disc which is approx. 8\" diameter

Features a rounded design which may have actually been a temple urn at one time.There is not a signature or Artist\'s mark on the outside, but I suspect there is most likely one on the inside of this piece. Cannot guarantee that but it would be common for such a carefully made item. The bronze is VERY thick and VERY heavy.

The body of the lamp has a large cast CRANE IN FLIGHT on the front and back side. In between, there are beautifully cast leaves and large CHRYSANTHEMUM FLOWERS. Above this main design is a wide band of cast stylized flowers, and above this, is a narrower band at the very top of lotus leaves which are shaped like hearts.

The relief and high/low depths on the bronze work, as well as the crispness of detail, is spectacular.

There is a black wooden disc cap which seals off what would have been the original round opening at the top

Generous 75\" dark brown cord, 2 prong style in perfect condition- no wear or cracking, no needto replace.

Includes original heavy brass harp and a lovely LARGE solid [heavy] round bronze finial. Does not include light bulb or shade.

The harp is the type that can be changed out for a shorter or taller one, depending on the size and height of shade desired

HEAVY andtop quality lamp- weighs just over 13 pounds!

Excellent condition, PRISTINE, works perfectly. No scratches, damage, patina issues, or chips on the wood base or top. Tightly assembled and perfectly centered, no loose or wobbly parts.

I have photographed this lamp in indoor lighting with a flash, and in natural outdoor lighting [no flash]. This is to try and best show the beautiful coloration of the bronze as accurately as possible
