Unique vintage R. Murphy carving/serving set presented in a fitted wooden storage/display case with a burgundy/red velvet-style interior.
The set includes:
• R. Murphy carving/slicing knife
• Matching two-prong carving fork
• Fitted wooden presentation/storage box
• Matching stylized J monogram appearing on the knife and fork handles
• Exterior metal plaque engraved “JWJ”
The R. Murphy marking is clearly visible on the knife handle. The matching J monogram and JWJ plaque are shown in the photographs and are part of the item’s distinctive character.
CONDITION:
Pre-owned vintage condition with visible cosmetic wear consistent with age and previous use. The metal pieces have surface scratches/scuffs and signs of handling. The wooden case also shows age-related wear, scratches and finish imperfections. The burgundy interior has areas of wear/discoloration. Please examine all photographs carefully, as the photos are an important part of the description.
IMPORTANT: The significance of the J monogram/JWJ initials is unknown. I am not representing them as a manufacturer’s mark or claiming specific provenance.
A particularly attractive piece for a vintage kitchenware, American cutlery, R. Murphy, carving-set or presentation-box collector.
Great for display, collecting or traditional holiday/roast carving.
Please review all photos for exact condition and markings before purchasing.
