Up for public sale is a beautiful, highly stylized vintage original pair of mid-century hand-carved Balinese tropical hardwood folk art totem sculptures. Meticulously hand-chiseled from a dense, heavy grain wood featuring rich chocolate and reddish-brown undertones, these matching figures depict traditional Balinese deity figures—resembling Dewi Sri, the Goddess of Rice, fertility, and prosperity—complete with intricate pointed headdresses, detailed serene facial features, protective wings, and multi-tiered geometric temple altar bases.
With unique triangular flat backs, these left and right facing figures carry an incredible physical presence and display magnificent mid-century hand-craftsmanship. A perfect statement decor accent pair for a boho gallery wall shelf, retro Tiki lounge bar, mid-century modern mantle, or global artifact collection!
