Up for sale/sale is a highly collectible, authentic vintage New Jersey State Police uniform grouping. This lot represents an exceptional opportunity for law enforcement historians and militaria collectors to acquire a comprehensive, matching set issued to an NJSP Sergeant.
What is Included in This Lot:
1. Class \"A\" Dress Blouse (Jacket): Features inverted triangle yellow/blue NJSP collar tabs (\"N.J.\" / \"S.P.\"), dual shoulder Sergeant chevrons, a right sleeve NJSP shoulder patch, and three service stars on the cuff. Includes custom interior pocket label from \"Belson Uniform MFG. CO., Bloomfield, NJ\". Back belt hanger hooks are intact.
2. Saucer Dress Cap (Hat): French Blue wool crown with an intact black leather chinstrap, brown leather sweatband with ventilation perforations, and the original clear plastic insert/cardholder inside.
3. Duty Pants (Trousers): Vintage Lee Chetopa Twill trousers (Size 38 Waist, Made in USA) in dark navy blue with the signature thick gold side stripe.
4. Dark Blue Uniform Shirt: Fully patched outer shirt featuring the \"State Police NJ\" shoulder insignia and matching Sergeant sleeve chevrons.
5. Light Blue Uniform Shirt: Manhattan \"The Natural\" Tall Man inner dress shirt. Size tag reads 16-36 (16\" neck, 36\" sleeve). 60% Cotton / 40% Polyester permanent press.
(Note: No duty belt is included in this lot).
Condition Report & Disclosures:
This uniform set has been historically preserved and shows signs of authentic field wear. Please view all photos to assess the following noted flaws:
• Jacket: The very top button near the collar/lapel is missing. There is a tiny moth nip/hole on the outer upper arm near the sleeve seam, and a few small moth holes on the interior wool facing flap. A light, faint surface smudge is present near the top center seam on the back panel.
• Pants: Shows authentic fraying/wear at the leg cuffs (consistent with being tucked into or worn over high leather riding boots). There is a light, faded spot/stain on the upper thigh area near the zipper fly.
• Shirts & Hat: Excellent vintage condition. The cap\'s leather sweatband is sturdy and intact. The light blue shirt is exceptionally clean with no heavy ring-around-the-collar or underarm staining
