Vtg Mid Century Lighted Musical Nativity Set 9pc Paper Mache Japan Creche Manger For Sale

Up for sale is a beautiful, highly collectible vintage Christmas nativity set from the 1960s/1970s. This isn\'t just a standard holiday decoration; it is a top-tier investment piece for the serious vintage collector. Featuring a rustic wooden stable adorned with real bark accents and a textured moss roof finish, this set stands out for its exceptional preservation and elite premium features.

• Flawless \"Double Mechanics\" Functionality: It is incredibly rare to find a 50+ year old set with both original mechanical components intact. The premium side-mounted music box has been meticulously tested—it winds smoothly and plays a beautifully clear, nostalgic rendition of \"Silent Night\". Paired with a fully functional, safe interior light fixture, it illuminates the entire scene with a warm, magical holiday glow.
• Vibrant Premium Caravan Lithograph Backing: Unlike standard mid-century stables that featured plain blue paint or basic cardboard stars, this elite version boasts a stunning, high-detailed graphic lithograph backing. The artwork depicts the Three Wise Men traveling by camel under the North Star, remaining beautifully crisp with rich, unfaded colors that serve as a spectacular focal point.
• Immaculate, Stamped Japan Composition Figures: The 9 hand-painted papier-mâché figures are in collector-grade condition. Every single piece features a crisp, authentic \"MADE IN JAPAN\" stamp on the base. Free from the crushed faces, broken limbs, or heavy paint flaking that typically ruins these fragile sets, this collection has been beautifully preserved over the decades.

• 1 x Deluxe Wooden Stable / Creche (with working light & music box)
• 9 x Hand-Painted Papier-Mâché / Composition Figures:
  • Baby Jesus in Manger
  • Virgin Mary
  • Joseph
  • Three Wise Men / Magi
  • Shepherd carrying a lamb
  • Donkey
  • Cow / Ox

Figures: Outstanding vintage shape with vibrant hand-painted colors. Normal light, superficial paint wear and minor age-related bottom scuffs are present from gentle, loving seasonal use over the decades. No major structural breaks, chips, or missing limbs.

Stable: The wooden structure is solid, heavy, and sturdy. The premium lithograph backing has minor edge scuffs but retains striking color clarity. The roof shows typical vintage shedding/wear to the moss flocking surface, adding to its authentic rustic charm.
