Not only is this a beautiful object, it is a working stovetop espresso machine that is built to last. This is a steam knob model in the original brown finish.
The ATOMIC Coffee Maker was designed by Giordano Robbiati in 1946 in Milan Italy. it combines the best of Italian art, craft and functionality in a distinctive design. This sculptural stove top espresso machine is cast aluminum, with classic looking cool to the touch bakelite handles and is hand crafted by artisans in Italy.
This piece is missing the original coffee jug (the cup the espresso flows into) but it is a stand-alone piece, so you can choose something you like as a replacement. Also missing the pin that slides into the base of the basket to regulate steam. You can see this at 4:08 in the video below.
You can see a video of these models class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0.0001pt; font-size: 12pt; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;">
Would be lovely in daily use or as a display piece in a kitchen or coffee shop.
