For your consideration is a beautiful, complete matching set of three (3) vintage mid-century bisque porcelain Kewpie-style baby figurines. Made in Japan, these highly collectible pieces are a matched set from the same original series.
The set includes three distinct, adorable poses:
1. Sitting "Pouter" baby with legs crossed
2. Sitting "Thumb-Sucker" baby (features the authentic hollow firing-hole base)
3. Crawling/Lying down "Winker" baby with legs kicked up
Markings & Authenticity:
Each figurine features its original red and gold foil
"Made in Japan" sticker on the base. The model number KW913 is stamped on the underside of the solid-base pieces. Each baby also features the iconic tiny molded light-blue wings on its back.
Condition:
Vintage Pre-owned Condition. Please look closely at all high-resolution photos. There are no major cracks or structural repairs. As is common with mid-century matte bisque ceramics, there may be very minor paint wear/flea bites on the hair tufts or toes, and slight shelf wear on the unglazed bases. Overall, a wonderful, clean display set for a vintage doll or Lefton collector.
Shipping & Handling:
Ships safely and securely packaged with plenty of bubble wrap to ensure safe arrival. Please feel free to reach out with any questions before purchasing!
