Vintage Japanese Cloisonne Akasuke Pigeon Blood Vase Pond Scene Featuring Koi & Goldfish w/Pond Plants
Approximately 7.25\" tall.
Gorgeous akasuke pigeon blood vase with THREE beautiful fancy fantail goldfish and pond plants on the surface, and hammered koi and seaweed plants on the hand hammered body.
Unsigned & unmarked, however similar examples do exist with a Fuji mark that Schneider\'s book lists as \"Hayashi Kaname (ca. 20th century, son of Hayashi Yojiro). Shippo-cho, in use 1947-57. Wired. Identified in Nagoya and Shippo-cho personal communications.\"
Very minor wear. There is a surface scratch on the backside of the vase, shown in two close up photos. Otherwise in excellent condition.
