Vintage Japanese Chokin Etched Metal Triptych Artwork – Framed Mt Fuji & Bijin Geisha
Intricately beautiful Japanese Chokin etched metal triptych artwork featuring gilded gold highlights, detailed repoussé, and engraved and embossed hand-worked metal (most likely aluminum). Classic Japanese motifs including Mount Fuji, sailboats, cherry blossoms, and a traditional bijin portrait.
The three thin metal sheets are mounted in a custom frame with a frame shop sticker on the back of the artwork. The etched detail is extremely fine—including leaves, waterlines, and mountain scoring—making it distinctly higher quality than many reproduction décor panels from the same era. Likely produced circa 1960s–1980s and originally sold through galleries, high-end department stores, or upscale home décor shops. Each metal artwork includes an impressed artist seal mark that is carved into the metal, not printed, confirming hand-worked tooling.
The aesthetic works beautifully in Japandi, Mid-Century Modern, eclectic, cottage, or warm neutral interiors. Framing is substantial with professional custom framing by "Gallery of Arts," and displays beautifully—ready to hang vintage, retro, nostalgic.
