-Composed of cream-colored alabaster with extensive, natural gray and brown veining.-19th Century Neoclassical Urn hand-carving style, featuring: turned architectural moldings, decorative, rope twist collar, fluted, paneled body, and stepped, circular base.-Underside hand-carved, as well.-Unmarked, but carving style is particularly associated with Volterra in the Tuscany region of Italy.-Perfectly functional; rewired with a new switch awhile ago.
-No cracks, chips, or visible damage.-Very good condition. -Circa 1920s - 1940s.
