Vintage Hopi Kachina Doll. The name Chief is written on the bottom. He is also called Aloha. Hand Carved from Cottonwood root.
I bought him and two others around 1985 and have enjoyed them for over 40 years. I am downsizing so my beautiful kachinas need a new home.
Hand carved
Height - 11” (approx)
Base - 4 1/2 x 51/2
Actual Weight - 9 oz.
I have provided closeups of the hand carving and artwork so you can see the care and skill taken in the creation of the kachina.
In good vintage condition with small imperfections consistent with age and use.
I pack all fragile items in double or heavy duty boxes and use lots of bubble wrap.
