Up for sale is a beautiful matching pair of vintage, hand-carved solid wood elephant sculptures mounted on decorative wooden display platforms. Crafted with great detail from a rich, warm-toned wood (likely Teak), these pieces showcase incredible craftsmanship from the deep texture of the elephants' skin to the dynamic, active poses.
One diorama features two playful, interacting elephants with one rearing up. The other diorama depicts a traditional working logging elephant standing next to a heavy timber trunk, complete with an intricate bamboo/cane strap harness over its back.
Good vintage condition with a gorgeous aged patina. The wood is heavy, solid, and completely structurally sound. There are minor superficial surface marks, light scuffs, and natural wood irregularities typical of authentic, vintage hand-carved items. Please note that the left tusk on the logging elephant appears to be missing or naturally shortened, and there is a light natural band on the back of the logging elephant holding the harness detail in place.
