This Hard to Find Vintage Late 20th Century Eximious Limoges porcelain trinket box is from a smoke and pet free home. Shaped as the magnificent Dome of St. Peter’s Basilica in Vatican City, it is a beautiful piece. This trinket box has been stored in its original box since it was purchased in the 1990s.
This hand-painted French Limoges box is marked on the base: “Peint main Eximious Limoges France.” It features rich orange and white detailing with gold accents on the lantern top, clasp, and hinge. The octagonal base has intricate architectural painting. Open it to reveal a pristine white interior with a lovely hand-painted golden chalice with hosts on the bottom.
As seen in pictures, this box comes in its original blue and gold Eximious box with gold ribbon and original blue and gold tissue paper. The box does show a little wear at the corners, consistent with the age of the box. It also includes the original authenticity card.
