Vtg Antique Meissen Style Schneeballen Porcelain Encrusted Trinket Box J37 For Sale

Exquisite porcelain lidded trinket or powder box crafted in the legendary German Schneeballen (Snowball) tradition. The entire exterior of the circular box and lid is heavily encrusted with hundreds of tiny, hand-applied white flower blossoms, each individually highlighted with a bright gilded gold-leaf center. The lid features a naturalistic, branch-like handle designed to look like a gnarled tree stem, accented by delicate porcelain leaves brushed with gold veining. The unglazed base features deep, authentic incised production marks stamped directly into the hard-paste porcelain before firing. It clearly displays the catalog shape/mould design number \"J37\", the individual master craftsman bench stamp \"11S\", and the matching Roman numeral \"III\" alignment mark. This matching mark ensures that the lid and base have been paired together since production. This highly dimensional, romantic piece is perfect for a luxury vanity table, a Grandmillennial bedroom accent, or an antique European porcelain collection.
