Vintage 1950s Mid Century Male & Female White Siamese Cats with green eyes and Green Fiberglass Cone Table TV Lamp Made in the U.S.A.
I\'ve sold four of these MAK-KRAFT Siamese cat tv/table lamps over the last 28 years selling on . When I find them, I buy them. They always do very well, super popular. This is the last one I have. You don\'t get much more mid century modern than siamese cats and fiberglass cone shades. These siamese cats are white with green eyes that match the green fiberglass shade nicely. This lamp has it\'s original 1950s green fiberglass cone shade. The cute cats are ceramic or chalkware, I can\'t tell for sure, in nice condition One cat has been repaired a long, long time ago. The head seems to have been glued back on and they did a great job. The base is solid wood. Has it\'s original cord that is in great condition. The original switch in nice and works as it should. The lamp over all is in very good condition with minor wear from age, not perfect but nice. Some of the varnish has flaked off the wooden base over the years.Everyone of these I\'ve owned and seen vary. MAK-KRAFT used what they had on hand to make their lamps. They used other animals, ceramic human figures etc.
Made in USA by the popular MAK-KRAFT company in the 1950s. Stands 9\" tall and 8\" wide at the base. The time to buy something that you may never see again is when you find it. This great piece will stay on display in my 50s Mid Century home until it sells so I can enjoy seeing until it\'s sold. I use an LED light bulb when I display it and it\'s in that bathroom and works as a great night light to find the bathroom in the dark.
