Five (5) vintage Hollywood Vassarette EMPTY lingerie boxes, originally used for retail packaging of slips, petticoats, briefs, and gowns. These attractive empty boxes feature beautiful pastel blue coloring with elegant artwork of a woman strolling through a garden, making them wonderful display pieces for collectors, home décor, photography props, or vintage storage.
Each box retains its original printed style information on the side, and at least two boxes still includes the original Hollywood Vassarette branded tissue paper. The artwork and graphics are especially eye-catching and capture the mid-century department store aesthetic.
Included:
• Lot of 5 empty Hollywood Vassarette lingerie boxes (Four boxes are 13" x 9" x .5" and one box is 13" x 9" x 1.5")
• A couple sheets of the original branded tissue paper
• Various original product labels printed on box sides (Slip, Brief, Petticoat, Junior Shift Gown)
Condition:
• Vintage pre-owned condition.
• Boxes show expected age-related wear including scuffs, edge wear, light discoloration, corner wear, and a few handwritten inventory markings on the sides.
• Structurally sound and display well.
• Please review all photos carefully as they are part of the description.
These are becoming increasingly difficult to find, especially as a matching group, and would make a wonderful addition to a vintage clothing collection, sewing room, boutique display or décor.
