Vtg? 4 1/2" HIgh Cylindrical Round White Alabaster Box with Lid-Gold Metal Trim For Sale

Offered is this cylindrical alabaster (or perhaps marble?) box with a lid. It has a gold-colored metal rim around the top of the box and the bottom of the lid. It is predominantly white, with some small areas of light tan or gray. It is unmarked so I don't know who made it or when but it looks old enough to be vintage. It is approx. 4 1/2" high, including the lid, and about 3 3/4" in diameter. The sides are approx. 3/16" thick. The hinge is damaged but the front clasp still works and the lid will sit well on the base. I see no chips or cracks but there are some light marks from use and some light soiling. The metal has some light wear and tarnish. Please take a moment to look at the other items in my store!
